Fics like Ring Ring, the Happiest Sound of Them All

And it really was a ring box. Small and blue, and square. Rosemary shook it. It rattled. Definitely a ring. Why on earth did Laura have a ring? Was it hers from Nick? But no, she'd given that back. Nick's grandmother's or something. Pig. But then, whose was it? And why was it hidden away in Laura's sock drawer? Should she be looking at this? Maybe she should put it back. But no, Laura wouldn't have sent her to look in said sock drawer if she'd minded Rosemary knowing about the ring. Rosemary pulled the socks onto her feet, grabbed the box, and crawled away. "Laura," said Rosemary, finally emerging back into the blissful warmth of the lounge. Laura was sitting on the mattresses by the fire, back against the couch, mending a hole in some trousers. "Hmm?" She looked up. "What is this?" Rosemary held up the box. OR Laura has bought Rosemary a ring. Rosemary finds it. Only trouble is, they’re not together…
