Fics like Forgetting What Became of Me

Hornet's upset expression gives way for a very concerned one. "Did you..." she starts, but doesn't want to say it out loud. "What is the last thing you remember?" Lace looks up at her, trying to read her face. Her eyes seem to flicker nervously, taking small, shallow breaths. Her gaze wanders to the floor. "I..." She opens her mouth to say something, but it doesn't come out. Then she tries again. "After- after our battle. In the Deep Docks. You won in our duel and I- The Citadel. I went back to the Citadel." Hornet looks her in the eyes, trying to find a sign, any sign, that this was a joke. A horrible, cruel joke, but just a joke nonetheless. But there is none of Lace's telltale signs when she lies to be found on her face. "You do not... remember our confrontation at the flower field either, then." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Silksong Post-Act 3 aftermath, but with the twist that Lace has no memory of the events between the midpoint of Act 1 to the end of Act 3.
