Fics like „Not just a friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man“

Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for over three years, and the Avengers still think of him as the kid chasing cats out of trees. When Steve and Sam start mocking him, Peter finally breaks his silence and tells them the truth. Later, they see it for themselves - what it really means to be the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. — But then Sam’s voice cut across the room. “Hey, look, Queens’ very own cat rescuer.“ Steve chuckled low in his throat. “Another bike thief today, kid?” Peter froze. His smile vanished. “You think that’s all I do? You think I spent three years risking my life just to chase cats out of trees?” … “New York doesn’t get a break. And if you think it’s all bicycles and kittens, then maybe you haven’t been looking hard enough.”
