Fics like sitting on a dream

Hans pulled the door close behind him and lingered under the shelter the small balcony offered, arms folded tight against the chill, his expression caught between suspicion and amusement. “Has it happened? Have you finally lost your mind?” Henry turned around, rain already dripping from his lashes, hair plastered to his face. Instead of answering, he bowed low and swept an arm out in invitation. “May I have this dance, Sir Hans?” Hans stared at him, rain beginning to speckle his shoulders. “I thought we weren’t supposed to.” Henry tilted his head. “Who’s going to see? The horses?” Hans gave a soft snort but didn’t move. “Afraid I’m the better dancer, my lord?” _ After Suchdol, Hans and Henry return to the Devil’s Den, where they must relearn their relationship from the start. Or: five times they thought they were being subtle, and one time they discovered they weren’t.
