Christmas Eve, New York, 1981. Franklin Shepard, the worldwide known composer, is broken. In an attempt to escape the knot choking his throat, he stumbles across his first ever apartment - the walls that shelter music notes and dreams shared amongst old friends in 1957. The same walls that supported his dreams are to be demolished in two days. He doesn't control his legs when he steps into the familiar rooftop. A silent force is moving him, his heart's plea at freedom. What Frank least expects to find there, in the known space seemingly intact by Time's touch, is the truth. And it swallows him whole. Or, Frank realizes what went wrong in his long-lost friendship, when he is faced with a sudden encounter.
