Fics like Of Leaves and Waves

As Sauron’s shadow lengthens at the end of the Second Age, the Eldar secure peace in the oldest way: marriage. Círdan the Shipwright pledges his daughter Meríliel (main OC) to Glorfindel, and his son Calenion (OC), to Thranduil’s line. It is a wise alliance, not a choice of the heart. However, Meríliel’s love and loyalty is divided. Her bond to Prince Legolas will echo through centuries of pride, war, and consequence. Woven into Tolkien’s canon and my own worldbuilding, this story bridges the silences between recorded events, exploring what happened, and when, in the years history and Jackson’s movies only hint at. Arranged marriage. Forbidden love. Political tension. Cultural depth. Choices that do not fade.
