“Can we go?” Chris asks the moment Buck comes fully back in the room. The silence echoing around them as Eddie stands there, Buck doesn’t look at him, Buck nods, “If you’re ready.” Keeping that promise, and moving the moment Chris agrees. He’s not wasting any time. But it doesn’t hurt any less to see Eddie's face as the man watches them walk out the door. It’s an expression of heartbreak. Buck still shuts the front door, turning away from his best friend and drives back to his loft with Chris in tow. The teenager sitting in silence in the back seat, gazing out of the window, watching them drive away. Or Buck is there when Eddie gets caught and everything shifts.
