Fics like A League of their Own AU

Elphaba Thropp had grown up playing baseball with her brother Shell, so when the men of Oz get drafted to fight the rebels in the Unpassable Desert and the MLB puts on tryouts for a female-only league she jumps at the chance. Galinda Upland does everything her parents tell her to - except for when she goes to baseball tryouts. Pleading with her parents to let her play, she promises she'll be a star. She would've been, except a green-skinned pitcher has taken the spotlight. Put on the same roster, and then assigned to the same room - the girls end up loathing each other. Until they don't. - Or the A League of their Own AU that no one asked for. Full of PR shenanigans, angst, random parallels, and very little actual baseball.
