Fics like The moons that could have been

Hands went up into his hair and yanked- harder and harder, as if the pain would shake him awake. His panic broke the quiet of his orbit, gasps and sobs going unheard. He wanted to run away. He wanted to run, to flee, to leave- to wake up. To look away. "Please." Neptune choked, collapsing on the ground. His entire being looked unstable and sickly- even if his gravity felt lighter now. He hated it. He absolutely hated it. "I'm sorry. Come back" He pleaded through his cries. He hit his head with his fists, multiple times, trying to wake up. Wake up. Give me my moons back. Give me my babies, and I will never leave my orbit again. Wake up. There was no waking. Just the silence his moons would now never be able to fill. Or Neptune hadn't meant for his moons to get hurt.
