Fics like This is casual… right?

“So LAPD’s short on undercover officers for a current operation these suspects—” she clicked to show photos of two suspiciously tan, overly toothy and Gucci-wearing individuals— “have been posing as celebrity influencers and conning people out of serious cash” Hen raised an eyebrow. “They look like they run a pyramid scheme and a juice cleanse scam” “They do” Athena replied. “And we need eyes on them fast but we need a believable couple to infiltrate their inner circle they’re hosting a couples-only weekend retreat in Malibu” She paused then looked directly at Buck and Eddie. The room instantly went still. “Which is why I’ve decided” she said clearly savoring the moment “that Buck and Eddie will be going undercover…as a couple.” There was a full second of silence. “YOU WANT US TO DO WHAT?!”
