Fics like Burn For You

Lexie has spent years at Vox Machina’s side—slaying monsters, taking odd jobs, and laughing just a little too loudly to keep from breaking. No one questions the sarcasm, the sharp wit, or the walls she never lets down. And that’s exactly how she wants it. Because the truth of what she’s survived—and what she’s still running from—can never come to light. But nothing hides forever. When the Briarwoods bring old ghosts to light, and vengeance pulls the group into a storm of blood and legacy, Lexie finds herself entangled in a far more dangerous game: one of longing, repression, and the slow unraveling of every barrier she’s built. Especially the ones around him. Percival de Rolo is brilliant, cold, and far too observant. Lexie can’t stand how deeply he sees her… or how much she wishes he’d truly look. He’s lost everything. She’s never had anything. And both are far too convinced their desire is unrequited. As darkness closes in around them and secrets rise from beneath the surface, the most dangerous battle may not be the one they’re fighting—but the one neither of them dares to admit they’re already losing. To each other. (The story starts where the show starts, but with a cold open in Lexie's POV)
