Fics like Ambrosia

Danny has been living in Gotham for what feels like quite a while now, and he thinks that things are beginning to look up. Today is the first official day that he's a Wayne, that he's been adopted. The papers were signed, and now he’s officially part of the family, legally and all. He hasn't felt this happy in a long time. His new family is wonderful. He loves all of his new siblings, even though they're annoying as all hell half of the time. He finds himself still struggling though, with the memories of why exactly he came to Gotham in the first place. He's glad that he's no longer struggling alone. OR Danny realizes that having a new family doesn't mean that he's replacing the one he lost. | CNtW because I am unsure if I should tag this as MCD. All death occurs pre-fic, but this story handles themes of grief. |
