Fics like Spitting Stiches

"Spitting stitches are unintended and occur when the body pushes out part of the suture material through the skin." The Nasty Burger explosion still kills Danny's family and friends despite changing the circumstances. He runs away from Vlad and the future Clockwork once showed him. Alone and grieving, Danny finds himself on a different Earth, one with heroes and metas. After Phantom is gravely wounded on a mission with the Titans, he was surprised to wake up. Even more surprising, he finds himself in the care of Bruce Wayne who is definitely more than he appears. Or: Danny bonds with Bruce, Dick and Jason over grief. He learns it's ok to not be ok, and there's people who care about him.
