Laurie’s not sure how she got herself into this situation. Her relationship with Yuwen started and ended on the field. They’re teammates - used to be teammates. Nothing more, nothing less. She can never make conversation with him, always stuttering or saying the wrong thing, and Yuwen always teases her, the line between sharp and playful far too blurred after years of biting remarks. By all means, they shouldn’t ever have fallen into…whatever this is. But, well. No one else hugs her as tight as Yuwen does, and Laurie’s never seen the boy as pleasantly happy as when they’re together. So. Laurie’s just going to go along with it, and see where things go. (Laurie and Yuwen get into an “acquaintances with benefits” situationship, with the benefits being cuddles.) (Laurie doesn’t feel any kind of way about this. At all.)
