Fics like Glinda and the Green Witch

Glinda wasn’t sure why she did it. Perhaps it was because she was a sorceress, and she had never seen the Wizard cast a spell, let alone with an artifact. She knew his magic was powerful, but she wondered if it was trained. She was trained. She was ready. She needed to do something that would make her more than what she had been when she came here as a child. She had to find the courage to be more than what she had been when Elphie left. “Let us repeat our agreement before going further,” the Witch said. “What is your name?” “Glinda Arduenna, sorceress of the round table,” she said. Something odd flashed across the Witch’s face, but it was gone as quickly as it had appeared. “I swear on this day next year to accept what I deal to you.” The Witch smiled. “I am glad this blow is yours to give. You will seek me yourself when the time comes to receive it. Take up your weapon, and let’s see how you smite.” --- A Wicked AU based on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
