Fics like Underneath (the weight of the world)

When he finally came back almost eight months after the ladder truck bombing, Buck hadn't expected a warm welcome from his teammates. But as their resentment towards his choice of suing the LAFD never wavers, he finds himself falling into a spiral of depression that could lead to severe consequences. The Earth never stops spinning on its axis, and just as the sun rises and sets every day and the moon reflects its light, the universe never stops forcing Buck to deal with new and old traumas. A visit from someone from Buck's past fundamentally changes the 118's views about their teammate, as old wounds are poked and left exposed, and everyone is forced to learn how to navigate their resentments and guilt.
