Fics like you’ve got opinions, man

“I am so unbelievably sorry. I swear I’m never late, I just got caught up at work, and I couldn’t exactly leave an active fire for a date and — Oh.” Once he settles into the booth, Evan meets Eddie’s eyes across the table. Evan Buckley. As in Witness Number #1 at Eddie's disastrous first date. Maddie’s brother, Evan Buckley. Fuck Eddie’s entire life. “Diaz?” Evan says, looking a bit stupid with how wide his mouth hangs open. He looks over his shoulder like someone’s waiting to jump out and tell him this is a prank. Eddie envies his optimism. He’s long since accepted that the universe is actively out to get him. or: Eddie and Maddie go on a blind date, Eddie and Buck go on a blind date, Eddie and Buck go on a blind date (again). It’s complicated.
