Fics like Weathered

He thought about Vergil. About the shadow his brother had left behind. That gaping, endless hole that no amount of demon-hunting or bourbon could fill. Nero was a piece of Vergil. Maybe the best piece. Something bright and sharp and unfinished. A second chance—not to fix Vergil, not to replace him, but maybe to learn from it. To be better. He could be there for Nero in ways he couldn’t for Vergil, to make sure that Nero never had to be alone the way Vergil evidently was. -- Part 2 of my Uncle Dante & Teen Nero post-DMC4 hurt/comfort series. Nero finally gets the love and comfort he deserves.
