Fics like All I Ever Wanted

Nero was just a kid. Brash, cocky, rough around the edges—but still a kid. Still sixteen, with too much weight on his too-small shoulders and eyes that had seen too much already. He had that same hollow look Dante once carried after Eva died. That wide-eyed stillness that said, I’m alone, and I don’t know how not to be. It wasn’t just Vergil’s eyes that haunted him when he looked at Nero. It was himself. --- Or: the DMC found family fluff-and-feelings collection where Dante becomes the Cool Uncle™, and Nero figures out that maybe, just maybe, he’s not alone anymore. Set between 4 and 5 with Dante training Nero.
