Fics like Reminisce of youth

Phainon can't stop thinking about that dream. After Mydei leaves with the kid, he has no choice but to shower before heading to work. A peek in the mirror takes enough to regret the moment he said goodbye to Mydei at the front door, looking deplorable like a wet dog in the streets. Not even soaking his head in cold water manages to clear his mind properly, so this time he even makes himself extra coffee, knowing he will need all the energy to face the day he has ahead. It's been so long since he dreamed. He's never been someone with vivid dreams—or at least if he had, he doesn't remember them. Now the first thing he does in months is dream about the kid they've fostered, accusing him of killing someone, of all the possibilities. Or, the story where Phainon and Mydei live as roommates, but they barely exchange words. At least until they find themselves taking care of a kid together, and memories of a distant life mix with the present, presenting in the form of dreams.
