Fics like After Napola- is that Love?

What if Friedrich and Albrecht had actually escaped from the Napola – and Friedrich’s family had taken them in, in Berlin? How would his parents react to Albrecht? With suspicion, with compassion – or perhaps with quiet admiration for his courage? Would the two of them be merely tolerated guests, or would Albrecht slowly become a part of the family? How would they be seen as a duo – two boys who found each other in dark times? What would their life in Berlin look like, among old facades and new fears, in a city that no longer knows where it belongs? And what would all of this do to their feelings – now that no regiment controls them anymore, only what they feel for each other?
