Fics like pitch perfect <3

Laurie was never a great softball player—okay, she was downright awful. But after quitting the Pickles, she found her real passion: music. Now, four years later, she’s chasing her dreams as a singer-songwriter, far away from the world of strikeouts and team huddles. That is, until her dad (still the Pickles' coach) pulls some strings and gets her a halftime gig at the championship game. Suddenly, Laurie is back in the middle of it all—reuniting with old friends, spending even more time with Rochie, and trying really hard not to overthink the fact that Yuwen, her old crush (and the guy who once casually rejected her in middle school), is looking at her like she’s something worth paying attention to. Between genuine moments (with Yuwen of all people?), a championship run that could bring them all full circle, and guitar lessons that turn into excuses to spend time together, Laurie starts to wonder: maybe she was never meant to win on the field… but what if she could win at something even better?
