Fics like Help Me To Breathe

Mary always had a desire to return to Silent Hill, to the one place she grew to love during her vacation there alongside her beloved husband. Sadly, that much desired dream ended up on ice due to a series of unfortunate circumstances following their return from the town, culminating in her ending up terminally ill and on the cusp of death. Against those odds, the woman somehow manages to recover from such an ordeal. However, this return to a healthier state coincides with James going missing. Then, one day, Mary receives a letter from him which motivates her to return to Silent Hill. It is during this journey to try and find James where Mary not only learns about the town’s true nature and its secrets, but also uncovers a truth about herself she may have not been fully honest about.
