Fics like Just Like Heaven

She met Mikey the day he died. Ellie didn’t ask to be created. Bred in a lab, her blood used for its regenerative properties, she never expected a half-dead mutant turtle to land on her slab and change everything. Rescuing him meant freedom—but it also meant falling into a world of pizza-loving ninjas, rooftop stakeouts, and a slow unraveling of everything she thought she knew about herself. Now living with the Hamato family in the wake of Maxstan’s destruction, Ellie struggles to reconcile her humanity with the monster clawing under her skin. Raphael sees both. He sees too much. And she sees him—his rage, his loyalty, the way he holds everyone together even as he pushes her away. As Ellie heals, trains, and learns to live, tension with Raph burns slow and hot. But when the shadows of her past return—when the man who calls himself her "Creator" steals her away—Raph will burn the world down to get her back. This is a story about survival. About love born in the ruins. About what it means to be real. And what it means to choose who you are—even when you were made to be something else.
