Fics like Your Tragedy, Our Exceptionality

Eddie just had to drop his mask. Eddie dropped the mask that he was holding and fiddling with He had to crouch down to pick it up. He crouched down on his heels on that stupid ground next to that stupid mask that he dropped. He sank to his heels as he was talking with Buck, who stood before him, about what happened minutes ago. And God. Oh God. That was the worst decision he ever made in his life. Because not a second later, his vision was blurred by a dark, crimson liquid that got into his eyes. A dark, crimson liquid that came out of his best friend's shoulder. The love of his life. His Buck. Instead of Eddie being shot, it's Buck that gets the bullet to the shoulder. Eddie can feel his whole world falling apart. He can't lose his Buck.
