Fics like secrets the flowers keep
When rain interrupts their shore leave, Kirk and Spock find themselves taking shelter in a greenhouse filled with Vulcan plants. Kirk is very in love. (Luckily for him, Spock is, too.) - Kirk turned towards him, and was greeted with the sight of Spock standing in the doorway, looking thoroughly disgruntled as water streamed down him and pooled at his feet. His arms were held awkwardly apart from his body, and his sodden robes were plastered to him, accentuating his slim form. Misery was evident in the lines of his face, made mockery of by the water droplets dripping placidly from the tip of his nose. And Kirk, again, burst into laughter. “You look like a drowned cat!” Spock turned towards him stiffly, looking affronted. “Hardly.” Then, to make a liar of him, his ears twitched. Like a cat’s.
