Fics like Follow You Anywhere

“Mr. Shiba,” he half-laughs in relief and drops the fist. “You scared me.” Then Hakuri remembers why he wasn't expecting to see Shiba, and he goes tense again. He looks both ways, but the park is empty of anyone else. There's no point in running. Hakuri thinks about it anyway. “Wait, Mr. Shiba…” Shiba doesn't let go. In fact, his fingers squeeze a little tighter as he scans Hakuri from head to toe. He doesn't look pleased, but he must be at least satisfied with what he sees. “Good to see you haven't bit it yet,” he says. “Brace yourself.” He promised Chihiro that he'd explain someday, and that day comes sooner than expected. Hakuri's wandering feet take him right back to where he's supposed to be, as it turns out.
