Fics like Wake Me Up: The Story Of The Lost Children

September 1978: Four kids already disappeared between Denver suburbs of Lakewood and Westminster, and everyone blames a mysteryous kidnapper now known as "the Grabber". Meanwhile, strange things are occuring to Gwen and Finney Blake: Gwen keeps having weird dreams about the missing kids, while having to deal with her alcoholic father, and cops are trying to involve her in their investigations, like they used to do with her mother; Finney, on the other hand, is struggling with the crush he has on his best friend Robin Arellano, and he starts picking strange calls on his home phone. Both kids are scared about this, knowing what all of this meant for their mom... But when Robin disappears as well, they both realize they might be the only ones who could really find him: will they be able to find out where he's kept, and save him from the Grabber before it's too late? Or My complete rewrite of The Black Phone movie, starting off from a very simple question that came to me when I first saw it on the big screen: what if instead of focusing on Finney being kidnapped, the story was about he and Gwen teaming up to save Robin?
