Fics like Red Xandra: Season One

Out of all individual Buffy episodes, the most frequently fanfic’ed is Halloween. Of those fanfics, a lot of them turn Xander into a girl and then just have Xander ‘get used to it’ with no further explanation. Whiiiiich seems a little problematic. Still, it’s worth considering: How would the series actually change if Xander was trans the whole time? I’ve read a few ‘what if Buffy was trans’ fics, and a couple ‘what if Faith was trans’ fics, but I haven’t actually seen many (or any) fanfics that explore the Xander option. Xander is very insecure about his manliness. Very insecure. This is a story about one possible reason. So, Halloween will be a catalyst for this fic, but it’s not where it starts. It all starts with the new girl at Sunnydale High.
