In order to retrieve notes that John Winchester forgot to add to his journal in 1994 that are relevant to Sam & Dean's latest case, Castiel agrees to travel back in time. The glimpse he gets into Dean's difficult life as a 15 year old is more than he bargained for, and he and Dean have a lot to talk (and think) about when he gets back to 2009.
