Fics like Hiss

“And why don’t you look at me, Shuri?” “My gaze is a curse, K’uk’ulkan. It turns everyone into stone.” Namor’s eyebrows crease at the sudden sadness in her voice. He has so many questions. “Were you born with this curse?” “No. I was born a human and then I became a monster.” “You don’t look like a monster to me,” he murmurs. The irony of her head full of snakes hissing at him as he says that isn’t lost on him. When Talokan’s location is threatened, Namor searches for a new place to call home. He discovers a cave that he deems suitable to build his new hut, but he’s not alone.
