Fics like the water cure

The woman ties the end of Namor’s clothes to Shuri’s, then prays. Or, Shuri thinks it’s praying, except that the woman’s head bends towards Namor. It’s like if I got married to Bast, Shuri realizes, and it’s a miracle she doesn’t burst into laughter right then and there, at her own wedding, thirty-thousand feet under the sea. - (In exchange for the safety of Riri Williams, Shuri agrees to rule alongside Namor of Talokan as his wife.)
