Fics like hold my hand tight (it's just us)

inspired by the movie Step Up. Max Goof is a newly-18 aspiring community college student who just aged out of the foster system. Life is nothing but his friends, shifts at the body shop, and parties that Bobby gets him invited to. After nearly getting his ass kicked by the failed varsity linebacker, Max finds himself arrested, and subsequently sentenced to community service at State University of the Arts. It's not as terrible as it sounds, really. Until he meets Bradley Uppercrust the III, a classically trained dancer that's desperate to debut his showcase in a few weeks despite losing his partner.
