Fics like Stick the Landing

Ten years after his first victory at the college X-Games, Max Goof is certain he's hit rock bottom. It's been four years since the fall that cost him everything. His pro skating career, his dignity, and most recently, his girlfriend, Mona. Now, he's pouring what's left of himself into X-treme Innovation, a small company that designs skate gear. His saving grace, forged from the ashes of a former life. But when Bradley Uppercrust III acquires the company, Max learns that things can, in fact, get worse. Adding insult to injury, Bradley is engaged to Roxanne, Max's high school sweetheart. Forced to work alongside the man who once tried to destroy him, Max discovers there's more to Bradley than he ever knew. As boundaries blur and old rivalries reignite, both men must confront the past they can't escape, and a future neither saw coming. --- Some landings are harder than others, but sometimes the crash is worth it.
