Fics like Espy rainflowers

Jack has taken everything from him. The sea rages around them, but for the first time this evening Jack looks at him. Not the mess of a crowd that grumbles and storms away, not the failed collection of their most important allies, not the money in his hand or a horribly disappointed Medda Larkin. Jack looks at David and for just a moment David sees regret on his face. Or maybe he just wants to see that, he can’t say anymore. It’s at that moment that Jack feels his heart break. - OR: A confession between two strike leaders succeeding the betrayal of Jack's show at the rally. (What should have happened before Once And For All.) David forgave Jack way too quick and was way too happy when printing the papers, so this is what should have happened between them!
