Fics like Wherever You Go, I’ll Always Be Here

In a world where Hermione’s parents were too busy establishing a wealthy business to care for their daughter, they send her away to a prestigious school in New York City. Growing up bullied and without friends, she meets a troubled young boy determined to go through life alone. The unlikely pair become best friends, practically siblings, as they bond through their love of books, shitty parents, and their oddities. When Hermione turns 11 and transfers to a school in Scotland, Jess loses the only person that’s ever cared about him. However, Hermione doesn’t love by halves. Through countless letters and summer visits they manage to keep in touch. Until the young woman braves a war. After the victory at Hogwarts all she wants is to see her little brother. To ensure he is safe and protected after a year apart. Injured and exhausted, Hermione portkeys to the small town of Stars Hollow. Upon her arrival a previously unseen version of Jess startles the town’s residents. A baffled Uncle Luke, unsure how else to keep his nephew happy, allows her to stay. It’s crazy how one person can change everything.
