Fics like Bloodlines and Broken Oaths; A Dawnguard Retelling

Rainne never wanted this. Not the Thu'um, not the prophecy, not a vampire companion with a complicated past & a biting wit. Yet, here she is - chasing after Elder Scrolls, dodging dragons, & unraveling a prophecy that could end the Tyranny of the Sun itself. Serana never thought she would trust again. After centuries of isolation & betrayal, the mortal woman she's tied her fate to is both infuriatingly headstrong & impossible to ignore. But trusting Rainne means confronting her past - the shadow of Molag Bal, her father's ambitions, & the question of what it means to truly be free. Between the weight of the prophecy, their own demons, & the growing tension between them, Rainne & Serana find themselves tested at every turn. In a world where gods & monsters clash, trust isn't just a luxury - it's a necessity. And trust, it seems, is something neither of them is very good at.
