Fics like On the twelfth day of Christmas (My true love gave to me)

John hadn’t realised he’d stopped in place until Sherlock called to him, three shops ahead. Blinking, the doctor shook himself and caught up, laughing at the other’s disgruntled expression and apologising. He kept up with the detective the rest of the way back to Baker Street, but his mind was still staring at the advertisement. He knew exactly what he wanted to give Sherlock for Christmas. -- Post Sign of Four, canon divergent but spoilers up to part 10 Following one hell of an adventurous year, and the last-minute scramble of the previous Christmas, John realises that he wants to do something extra special this year for Sherlock (and perhaps, just maybe, confess to him in the process). A plan forms that he hopes to surprise the detective with, but between a festive-themed string of burglaries, helpful but teasing friends, and the strange mood that Sherlock seems to be increasingly stuck in, can he pull it off and give Sherlock Holmes the Christmas he truly deserves?
