Fics like Missing you comes in waves (and tonight I'm drowning)

“Wait – wait, no, shit-” John scrambled for his phone, almost dropping it in his rush to activate the screen. Staring back at him was confirmation that it was 11:56am on Friday, 18th September. His dad’s birthday was 17th September. He’d forgotten his dad’s birthday. He couldn’t believe it. He forgot. He forgot. - John Watson has never forgotten to mark his father's birthday - until now. Drowning in guilt, he shuts down. Can Sherlock and Mariana find a way to bring him back to the surface again? Entry for the October Flashbang Event!
