But time and distance made it go further and further between the calls, and eventually they died out, transitioning into a venmo for birthdays and Christmas’s. He never spoke to Eddie again. Not until he gets that phone call. - - - - - The man freezes at the sight of him and Buck sees how his eyes widen in shock. For a moment they just stare at each other. “Buck..?” Eddie eventually says hesitantly, eyes darting behind him towards the road, almost like he was looking for an explanation for his presence behind him, and Buck clears his throat before lifting an eyebrow. “Well. You look pretty good for being on the brink of death.” He states dryly.
