He looked narrowly between Steve and the members of the Party, and who Steve recognised as the remainder of Hellfire Club too—Eddie Munson included. Steve had never really interacted with Munson, like, ever. Steve knew Munson got picked on by some of the meaner kids—maybe Tommy once, but he had never been one of those types of kids—not until Jonathan, at least. Some people got off on that kind of thing, the power, whereas for Steve, he needed a reason. He needed to feel his anger directed at the kid, or why would he beat them up? He could beat up a tree instead; it would have the same result. Tommy liked that kind of release, but Carol thought she was above the whole thing, so Tommy did too. Carver, though. Carver had always been the other kind. Carol said he got beat up by his daddy, and that was why he was such a bitch. Steve put up with him, openly because he shot well, privately because... well, Carver never turned his shit on Steve, so why was it his problem? He didn’t think it was until now that he knew what Carol meant about Carver ‘relieving some energy’. -- Or, King Steve Harrington is a bitch, and Eddie might be into that.
