Fics like we've fallen but still we trust the sky

The hawk was a Shadowhunter. Nephilim may have a disgust for warlock animal marks and the ‘savage’ werewolves ability to shift, but their own ability to shift into birds was seen as a gift from the Angel. Their ability to fly seen as a link with the divine. Magnus wished more than anything that his suspicions were wrong, that it was just a normal bird, but he doubted he had that much luck. He never did with Shadowhunters. Or Magnus finds a captured Shadowhunter, stuck in their bird form, and decides to help out until they can be freed. Winning their trust would be helpful, otherwise the repercussions of keeping them until then could be dire.
