Fics like Interim

With the rest of their friends still unconscious in their pods, there is very little any of them can do but wait. The facility itself isn’t the worst place to spend your time, with a cafeteria and cooks on staff, as well as a small kitchen available to them if they want to cook for themselves. There is a gym and a mini library, and a lounge where Himiko takes to napping when her own room feels too oppressive. Between those and daily sessions of physical therapy, there is a wealth of ways to pass the time. Realistically, they shouldn’t be getting too bored. It’s unavoidable, though, with the knowledge of what they’re waiting for. Saihara and Harukawa spend much of their spare time in the computer room where all of their friends are sleeping. In fact, they spend more of their time in there than Himiko does, because they both refuse to attend most of their therapy sessions, and there’s not much the staff can do to force the issue. Himiko sort of admires it, because it’s not as if she herself has a lot of love for the daily routine—but it’s something to do. --- Himiko, Shuichi, and Maki wait for their friends to wake up.
