Fics like The Pounding in my Head (is my Past Catching Up)

"Why should she put her life on the line for old friends? Sure they had good memories together, but they were just that. Memories. It didn’t happen anymore. They hadn’t gotten the whole gang together in one place in years. Hell, Slobo was dead. They would never have everyone in the same place again. The last time Cissie saw Anita, it was because she needed someone to babysit her parents. She has no idea what happened to Ray. And Greta went to high school with her, then went off on her own. Who knew where she was nowadays? And then, of course, there was the ‘Core Four.’ The four ex young justice members that went on to join the teen titans after the death of Donna Troy. The four who were currently in her living room, because Kon stuck his foot in the door to prevent her from slamming it on their faces. Kon-El, or Conner Kent, Tim Drake, Cassie Sandsmark, and Bart Allen. " Cissie King-Jones has a life. Okay? It's been ten years since she's been part of young justice, and she is staying away. For good. So why are they at her door? And great. Now she's remembering everything they did together, basically.
