Fics like You're Not Him, but You're Here

William Schofield has a good life. He has a loving wife, two adoring daughters, a steady job, a comfortable house to come home to each night, and the ghost of one Tom Blake following him everywhere he goes. He also has the eyes of a particular German prisoner of war permanently burned into his mind and the memory of all the unholy things they did together near the end of the war. William Schofield has a good life. Paul Bäumer is determined to change that. (or, what if Paul Bäumer and Will Schofield met at the end of the war and got nasty with each other out of grief for their dead lovers/situationships? Paul is mourning Kat, Will is mourning Blake, and they fuck each other about it)
