Fics like The Smell of Lavender

Working with each other in Operation Cleanup, a plan to rebuild the city after a particularly gruesome Eggman attack, Sonic and Shadow grow closer. Feelings come to a head during a hangout at Shadow’s apartment. When Shadow gets called away for an inter-dimensional mission and Sonic has to care for his houseplants as well as communicate with him through Morse code, he realizes just how deep his feelings run. Who else would he go through all this trouble for?
