Fics like Fever Spikes

Tails sighs, shoulders slumping with the action. Alright, time to check on Sonic. He takes a deep breath to steady himself before... Does he smell something cooking? Leaving his bags where they are for now, Tails steps into the house proper, kicking off his shoes as he goes. Rounding the corner into the kitchen, he stops when he spots a familiar figure. "What are you doing here?" Shadow the Hedgehog glances at him, before turning his attention back to the bubbling pot before him. One hand on his hip, the other idly stirring whatever's in the pot, and afternoon sunlight bouncing off his black fur paints an odd picture of domestic serenity. One as unnervingly out of place as Cream on a battlefield. "What does it look like? I'm making soup." Or: Sonic gets sick, and Shadow and Tails bond over the universalties of little sibling-hood.
