Fics like a faraway sound

Tashi and Art together just doesn’t make any sense to him. Every time he tries to imagine them together -- and he spends an embarrassing amount of time imagining them together, often late at night when he wants to make himself feel brilliant or terrible -- it just doesn’t compute. (20 years, before and after. or, Patrick never stops thinking about them - not in 2006, not in 2019, not in 2026.)
