Fics like Finding home

During a call Buck meets a young boy, and when he once again runs into him he realizes the boy might need more help than he originally thought. As he battles with how to help him, he also tries to come to terms with the realization that his feelings against his best friend might not be quite as platonic as he once thought. ---- “Hey, you ok kid?” He asks and offers the water with a comforting smile. The boy tenses and looks up at him under the hood with suspicious eyes and Buck realizes he is younger than he originally thought, probably around 12 years old if he would take a guess. He patiently waits and eventually the kid reaches out and carefully grabs the bottle, wriggling it in his hands but makes no effort to drink it. There's a bit of soot on his hands and his cheeks and Buck furrows his brows in concern.
