Fics like Break It Down to Build It Up

After opening the Vault, Rhys finds himself lost with Fiona in a jungle that may-or-may-not be on Pandora, and a niggling, familiar whisper at the back of his head. Soon, fuelled by desperation and exhaustion and something else he can’t place, he makes an extremely stupid decision that might get him, and everyone he loves, killed horribly. Or might help him get home. If he doesn’t totally lose his sanity first. Meanwhile, despite being left locked up by Rhys, Yvette survived the fall of Helios. Working as a bounty hunter, she is trying to just survive long enough to figure out how to get off-planet. But when she encounters her old co-workers out in the wastes, Yvette finds herself roped into tracking down and rescuing the man who left her to die. Though she was sure she’d be able to do that much more successfully without the con-artist girl breathing down her neck.
